Extended Legal Assistance is available to eligible applicants involved in a Coronial Inquest.

Extended Legal Assistance is available to:

  • assist a person of interest who is required to give evidence at a Coronial Inquest. 

Extended Legal Assistance is available to eligible applicants to make a complaint or seek a review of a decision where an access application to government records has been refused.

Extended Legal Assistance is available to:

  • apply for internal review of a decision, where an applicant has been refused access in accordance with a request under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) or Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) and the documents are necessary to resolve a dispute for which legal aid is available, and/or
  • make a complaint to the Information and Privacy Commission NSW, where an applicant has been refused access in accordance with a request under the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009 (NSW) or to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner where an applicant has been refused access under the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Cth) and the documents are necessary to resolve a dispute for which legal aid is available.
