Appointment process

Appointments to the Legal Aid Review Panels (LARP) are made following a rigorous and impartial selection process to ensure high standards and relevant expertise among panel members. Appointment to a LARP will be by an expression of interest (EOI) as published by Legal Aid NSW. All EOIs submitted by practitioners are reviewed by a Tender Assessment Panel comprising nominees from Legal Aid NSW, the Law Society of NSW, and the NSW Bar Association. The Tender Assessment Panel will make recommendations to the Legal Aid NSW Board, which holds the final authority on appointments to LARP.

All practitioners who submit an EOI will receive written notification regarding the outcome of their application.
