Regional Outreach Clinic Program (ROCP)

The Regional Outreach Clinic Program (ROCP) supports regular face-to-face legal advice to people experiencing disadvantage in regional, rural and remote locations in NSW where there are limited or no other options for free face-to-face legal advice. Legal services are provided by Legal Aid NSW panel lawyers and clinics are held in partnership with local host organisations including neighbourhood centres, local courts and community services. Some clinics are supported by a roster of Legal Aid NSW in-house legal practitioners and Legal Aid NSW panel legal practitioners.

The ROCP guidelines (PDF, 124 kb) contain more detailed information about the program. Services at the clinics are covered by the Legal Aid NSW complaints handling policy (PDF, 340 kb). Complaints and other feedback about services at the clinics can be directed to the Manager of the ROCP.

The ROCP is currently supporting clinics at Bathurst, Bega, Batemans Bay, Cowra, Gloucester, Goulburn, Griffith, Lithgow, Queanbeyan and Kempsey.

Full details for all of the clinics, and how to make a booking are in the Regional Outreach Clinic Program clinics section below.
