Legal Aid NSW offices will be closed from Monday 25 December 2023 and will reopen on Monday 8 January 2024.
The following essential services will be available during that time:
The LawAccess NSW free telephone service and webchat will be open for legal help Monday to Friday 9am–5pm, including the public service holiday, (except public holidays): 1300 888 529
The Children's Legal Service Youth Hotline 1800 10 18 10 will be available from 9am–midnight on weekdays; and 24 hours on Saturdays, Sundays and all public holidays.
The Women’s Domestic Violence Court Advocacy Service line 1800 WDVCAS or 1800 938 227 will be open, except on public holidays.
Legal Aid NSW’s Domestic Violence Unit Hotline will be open on 1800 979 529. However, if you are in an emergency, you should call NSW Police on 000.
The Disaster Response Legal Service Helpline 1800 801 529 will be available from 9am–5pm on weekdays, except on public holidays. You can also visit Disaster Response Legal Service NSW for further information.
